There’s a difference between having creators promote your product and building a channel around them.
This sportswear brand has the first part: strong word of mouth, growing interest from creators, and a product that resonates in the pickleball and tennis space.
Now it’s time for the second. The goal is for influencers and affiliates to drive 30 to 40% of sales, and you’ll build the strategy, partnerships, and systems to make that possible.
A DTC footwear brand building court shoes around the way people actually move. They sell through Shopify to players who are on court several times a week, and they stand behind the product with 100-day free exchanges and a six-month warranty.
The team is small, remote and founder-led. There are no layers between a good idea and getting it done, and no shortage of problems worth solving.
Founders stay close to the customer and the day-to-day
Curiosity and good judgment matter more than credentials
Small changes can have a visible impact within weeks
Remote by default, with a strong focus on what gets done
This is a fully remote, full-time role.
A blank page. No inherited process, no legacy programme to unpick. You design how this works.
Direct line to the founders. You report to them. No layers, no committee, decisions in a call.
A real budget shift. The brand is deliberately moving spend off Meta, and this channel is where it goes.
Performance bonuses. Structure open to discussion and tied to what you actually move.
A team to shape. One person in the seat, room to build out from there.
Vacation, travel and training allowances. Plus proper leave when health gets in the way.
Own the number. Influencers and affiliates need to drive 30 to 40% of revenue, and that target is yours.
Build the sourcing engine: vetting, outreach, onboarding. Right now it happens in bursts, when someone remembers.
Rescue the existing partners. Whitelisting creators and affiliates have gone quiet. Get them engaged and selling again.
Launch the first real campaigns. Not one has run properly yet. You set the standard for what one looks like here.
Run the full partnership mix: paid collaborations, gifting, seeding, whitelisting ads, affiliate. Decide what deserves a budget and what gets cut.
Reach the audience paid can't. Meta is delivering a senior audience. Creators are how this brand gets in front of younger players.
Evaluate the possibility of opening new channels. TikTok first, then a Discord community to keep affiliates coordinated and motivated.
Fix delivery. Brief content in hand is where things break today. Put real project management around it.
Set the KPIs and report them. ROAS and affiliate sales are the only lens today. Build a fuller picture for the founders.
Lead the team. One person in the seat now, two to three as the channel grows.
You’ve run influencer, affiliate, or partnership programmes for 8 to 9-figure DTC brands.
You’ve driven meaningful revenue through partnerships and are comfortable being accountable for a number.
You think in strategy, testing, and iteration, not repetitive outreach and inbox management.
You’re highly organised and can coordinate partners, campaigns, and a small team of 2 to 3.
You build systems that scale and can spot opportunities beyond your immediate area.
You’re comfortable working directly with founders and taking ownership of results.
Worked alongside in-house creative strategists and a production team
Got a marketing or copywriting background
Day 30: You audit every current creator, affiliate and whitelisting partner, set a benchmark for affiliate revenue so progress can actually be measured, and reopen the conversations that have gone cold.
Day 60: Sourcing and onboarding run consistently rather than in bursts, the first influencer campaign is briefed, launched and tracked, and the founders have KPIs they can look at weekly.
Day 90: Affiliate revenue is visibly up from the benchmark, TikTok is open as a channel, the affiliate Discord is live, and you know exactly what the team needs to look like to hit 30 to 40%.
