A founder-led UK wellness brand is scaling its paid social creative, and its Creative Strategist needs a right hand. Someone who spots the weak hook in last week's numbers, briefs the re-edit, catches the caption error before it ships, and has the reference ads ready before anyone asks for them.
This role sits right next to the strategy. You'll research what's winning, feed that back to editors, QA every edit, get ads live, and turn customer research into learnings the team actually uses. If you want to become a creative strategist, this is where you learn the job properly: close to the data, close to the edits, and close to someone doing it well.
WHO THEY ARE
A founder-led UK collagen supplement brand built around a product the founder created for his own mother, after years of buying overpriced alternatives that didn't deliver. Since launching in early 2024, it has built real momentum in the UK, and a US expansion is now underway.
The business runs on performance marketing and high-volume video creative. The team is lean, the founder is closely involved in creative, and the people who do well here take ownership, learn fast, and flag problems early.
Lean team, short feedback loops
Creative decisions backed by performance data
Ownership valued over job titles
Heavy use of AI tools, Claude in particular, to move faster
This is a fully remote, full-time contractor role.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
A genuine apprenticeship in creative strategy: You'll work day to day with the brand's Creative Strategist as a real collaborator, not a task taker. Your input on hooks, edits and briefs will shape what goes live.
Pattern recognition at speed: You'll review every ad, see weekly performance and brief re-edits off the data. Few people get this close to winning and losing creative this early in their career.
Variety week to week: Research one week, re-edit briefs the next, customer learnings after that. The role flexes around what the strategy needs.
Room to grow into the seat: Show you can think ahead and the scope expands, towards writing briefs, scripts and strategy of your own.
A modern, AI-first workflow: Atria for ad research, Frame.io for review, Notion for tasks, and Claude for research and synthesis. No bloated stack.
Early entry into a scaling brand: With the US launch underway, the people who join now grow with it.
WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO
Research winning ads and formats on tools like Atria and pull references the strategist can use straight away.
Diagnose last week's performance: work out whether the hook or the body let an ad down, then brief the re-edit.
Brief cut-downs on winning ads with clear, timestamped notes on exactly what to cut and where.
Coach editors with strategic feedback on how to make an edit stronger, not just what's wrong with it.
QA every edit before it reaches the strategist: captions, revisions, B-roll, music and the small details that slip through.
Format scripts into clean production docs with B-roll notes, ready for editors.
Launch ads and support weekly performance reporting.
Coordinate customer research, from post-purchase survey data to working with the brand's customer call agency, and turn it into usable learnings.
WHO YOU ARE
You understand short-form paid social creative: hooks, formats, and why one ad works when another doesn't.
You think ahead. You spot what's needed before you're asked, and the strategist rarely has to chase you.
You're easy to work with and bring ideas to the table, as a collaborator rather than someone waiting for instructions.
You're used to reporting to several people and juggling shifting priorities without dropping anything.
You're flexible and happy for your week to look different depending on what the strategy needs.
You're low ego about the admin side. A lot of this role is unblocking the strategist, and you take pride in doing that well.
You have a sharp eye for detail and give editors feedback that's clear, specific and actionable.
You're comfortable using AI tools to speed up research and synthesise learnings.
Bonus if you've:
Worked at a creative or performance marketing agency, supporting multiple clients or strategists.
Used ad research tools like Atria, or worked with post-purchase survey data.
Worked as a UGC coordinator, content coordinator or video editor and want to move into strategy.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
30 Days: You know the brand's winning ads and creative standards, you're quality checking every edit before it reaches the strategist, and your Atria reference pulls are being used in briefs.
60 Days: You're reading weekly performance on your own, calling out weak hooks versus weak bodies, and briefing re-edits and cut-downs that editors can action without follow-up questions.
90 Days: The strategist is spending noticeably less time on admin and QA because you're a step ahead. Customer research is flowing into learnings the team uses, and you're contributing your own ideas on angles and hooks.
