Most shapewear brands are drowning in SKUs, chasing every trend, hoping something sticks. This one went the other way: fewer products, built with actual purpose, and it's working. Doing seven figures a month right now and on track for five million a month by year end, the founder is ready to bring in a senior creative leader who can mentor the existing team, lead the day-to-day creative function, and give him the confidence to step back from being the team's bottleneck.
You'd be walking into a brand that's already found its winning formats and is now looking for someone to take the ceiling off.
A fast-growing, DTC first shapewear brand built around a "less is more" philosophy: purpose-built products instead of endless variations. They're on a clear path to becoming a full women's fashion brand, not just a shapewear label, and they're moving fast because they're still small enough to move fast.
Founder-led, hands-on, and deeply invested in getting creative right
Lean team of 12, with a Creative Strategist and Junior Creative Strategist already in place
Meta first, testing dozens of concepts a week, judged purely on ROAS, not vanity metrics
Culture built on ownership: they want people who see the bigger picture and take the lead without being asked
This is a full-time, remote contractor role.
Real ownership from day one. You'll bring your own ideas, challenge assumptions, and quickly earn more responsibility as trust is built.
A team to lead, not just a role to fill. You'll run daily syncs with the Creative Strategist and Junior Creative Strategist, shaping how they think about testing and concepts, not just reviewing their work.
Performance bonuses tied to what you actually control. Earn on top of your base when your creative pushes ROAS meaningfully above breakeven.
A brand that still moves like a startup. Ideas get tested fast, there's very little bureaucracy, and you'll see the impact of your work in the numbers within days.
A growth path built with you. As the brand scales toward its next revenue milestone, this role is positioned to grow into managing a bigger creative team.
Lead the day-to-day creative strategy across Meta, building on what's already working while constantly pushing for new winning concepts.
Run daily calls with the Creative Strategist and Junior Creative Strategist, setting the standard and coaching them toward stronger output
Dig into research and buyer psychology to keep the pipeline of new concepts fresh, especially net new ideas, which has been the brand's toughest nut to crack
Review and give feedback on edits submitted by video editors, keeping quality consistently high
Build and prioritise a testing roadmap that balances volume (35 to 45 concepts a week currently) with actual quality
Work directly with the founder, translating business goals into a creative strategy that gets there
Set the tone for what "good" looks like on this team, since you'll effectively be training the next generation of strategists
You have 3+ years of experience working with DTC brands, ideally consumer or fashion-adjacent
You have a genuine understanding of direct-response marketing, not just creative theory
You thrive in fast-moving environments and naturally take ownership without waiting to be told what to do
You have an exceptional work ethic and enjoy building alongside a team that's constantly pushing to improve
You've driven measurable ROAS improvements through creative testing, and you can back that up with real numbers
You come from a copywriting or marketing background, and you understand what makes people buy
You're comfortable owning testing volume and quality at the same time, not sacrificing one for the other
You're proactive about net new ideas, not just optimising what already exists
You take responsibility seriously and communicate clearly, especially when things aren't working
You want to lead, not just execute, and you're excited by the idea of mentoring a small creative team
You're able to commit fully to one brand; this role isn't a fit if you're juggling other clients
Bonus if you've:
Worked in fashion, beauty, or a similarly aesthetic-driven vertical
Experience building or mentoring a creative team, not just doing the work solo
30 days: You've fully absorbed the current creative account, understand what's winning and why, and have run your first few daily syncs with the existing creative team.
60 days: You've introduced at least one meaningful shift in testing strategy or concept quality, and net new concept output has visibly increased.
90 days: You're confidently leading the day-to-day creative function, consistently bringing fresh, high-performing concepts to the table, and the founder feels comfortable stepping back from the day-to-day creative operation while continuing to collaborate with you on bigger creative decisions.
